Originally I was reluctant to proceed as an owner builder, then was mucked around by various licensed builders and so decided to look into the owner builder courses. As the owner of a busy LJ Hooker franchise time was of the essence and the prospect of having to travel to complete a full day (or longer) course was not appealing. I found your course to be informative, concise and very easy to follow. Your response times for forwarding the course, notification of results and issuing of certificate were nothing short of amazing and I would have no hesitation in recommending OIBI to any prospective owner builder

As for feedback, it's nothing but positive. I'm my unique situation (currently living in Denmark and returning to Australia at Xmas) I needed an online course to suit my time table and not that of the course. The cost was appropriate to me. The whole episode was painless, which in today's business is the only way to go - now if only the DA was going to be as painless! - which bring me to a suggestion: What about an 'online DA for dummies course?' I know some of the evening colleges in Sydney run evening classes [eg Nepean] - Covering topics that would be relevant to project management of the DA and even then the implementation phase (you glanced over some of it in OIBI). If such a course does exists could you pass on some details?

I have been in the development business for the past 35 years and whilst I have never held a builders license I have built most of my own houses and have been heavily involved with consultants and builders with the development of my own projects.
I hold a current owner builders permit for work we had approved on my own house back in 2000, which is ongoing, and I was surprised when I found out I would have to complete a course for this new work.
I think the introduction of an owner builders course is an excellent idea as most of us forget the basics no matter how involved we are and I found your course a very good refresher tool as well as keeping up to date with current regulations. The general advice given will be very helpful to many people and I consider it to be a great future reference document.
Many people do not understand the rapid changes that are continually being made to day to day living regulations and whilst I think we over governed there are many people that need the protection.

Course content, easy to understand, concise and to the point.
OTEN course accessed via OFT internet site. Site is ambiguous as I believed that Access Building Education and OTEN are one and the same. After payment to OTEN we were advised that we would not be receiving course for at least 7 days as “new course content was being prepared” and we would just have to wait. Upon discussion of such with friends, I was advised that they had just finished the course a couple of days earlier, thus prompting my call to your organization.

I found the OIBI course content to be comprehensive but in an easy to follow format.
The links are a great aid to finding more info and your rapid response to my cry for help when I hadn't downloaded the files correctly was greatly appreciated.
I chose the online option. I'm glad I did as the ease at which I could study and complete the course, has left me with one less worry before getting into the building.
I have some friends who are contemplating a similar project and I will definitely steer them in the direction of your website and course, should they proceed.
